Theresa Imhoff, age 90 of Westbrook, formerly of rural Dundee passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Worthington Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Westbrook Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Theresa (Pruissen) Imhoff, daughter of Gerrit and Sadie (Post) Pruissen, was born October 13, 1917, in Silver Lake Township, Dickinson County, IA, and was raised on a farm northeast of Lake Park where she went to country school. She later went to school in Lake Park where she graduated from eighth grade. Her family then moved to Excelsior school area south of Lake Park and she went to school there for one and half years. At this time she had to leave school to help at home and then she worked for various families for 6 years.

On April 10, 1941, she and Bernard Imhoff were married at Peterson, IA. They were the parents of three children; Marilyn, Bonnie and Richard. The couple lived on a farm east of Melvin, IA, for one year before buying and moving to a farm northwest of Dundee, MN, in March of 1942. Bernard passed away May 3, 1961. She remained on the farm until 1973 when she moved to Westbrook, MN. She worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Westbrook as an aide and cook for 16 years. After her retirement she helped out with babysitting.

She was a former member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Avoca, MN, and a current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook, MN, where she was active in the WELCA, serving committee and quilt-making activities.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn (Arland) Moger of Fulda, Bonnie (Donald) Lindquist of Hinckley and Richard (June) Imhoff of Ruthton; grandchildren: Alanna (Marvin) Moger-Whitehead, Anthony Moger, Matthew Moger, Eugene Ferguson, Jennifer (Paul) Strunge, Gregory Ferguson, and Bernard L. (Jadie) Imhoff; great grandchildren: Tony & Lindsey Ferguson, Madison & Brody Halvorson, Barrett Strunge, Mason & Kelly Rose Ferguson, Darian Weatherly and Bailey Imhoff. She is also survived by two brothers: Anthony Pruissen of Hinckley, MN and William Pruissen of Port Orchard, WA; and two sisters: Cornelia Schiphoff of Hartley, IA, and Jane (Gerald) Grant, Anoka, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Henrietta Pruissen.
