| Frances Naomi (Lindley) Engler
Frances N. (Lindley) Engler, age 91 of Westbrook passed away Saturday
May 2nd at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday
at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday
at the Westbrook Funeral Home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation
will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Interment is in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rosehill Township.

Frances Naomi (Lindley) Engler was born September 9, 1917 in Westbrook,
Minnesota to Frank and Nora (Nordsiden) Lindley. She was baptized
and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Westbrook
and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. On October 23rd, 1937
Frances was united in marriage to Lawrence Engler in Chicago, IL.
Together the couple had $1, and Frances found $1 in the street,
so they began their life together with only $2 to their name. The
couple lived on Frances’ family farm and Frances worked at
the grocery store in Westbrook. She was a member of Grace Lutheran
Church, and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time
with her family and friends.
Frances is survived by her sons: Larry (and Sandra) of Richmond,
MO, Lanny of Westbrook, Ronald (and Kathy) of Slayton, Robert (and
Connie) of Roseau; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren;
and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death
by her parents; husband Lawrence of 65 years; and two brothers:
Alfred “Bud” Lindley and Donald Lindley.
