Harold A. Jorgensen, age 91 of Marshall formerly of Tyler passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Morningside Heights in Marshall after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 25 at First English Lutheran Church in Tyler. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Tyler Area Funeral Home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue Monday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment is in the Danebod Lutheran Cemetery. The Tyler Area Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Harold A. Jorgensen was born November 8, 1916 to Andrew and Sina (Anderson) Jorgensen in Tyler, Minnesota. He attended country school near Tyler. Harold was united in marriage to Myrtle Stelter on February 8, 1937. On January 2, 1965 he married Mary Alice Smith. Mary passed away on August 20, 1994. Harold was a farmer and rancher and was well known for his Black Angus cattle. Later in life he owned and operated JJ Dirt and Gravel. Harold was very active in his church and community. He served on the township board and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family was the love of his life.

He is survived by his children: Barbara (Allen) Albertson of Erhand, MN, Judy (Ty) Roberts of Marshall, MN, Ardell (Bob) Fay of Graham, WA, Beatrice (Tim) Hought of Foxhome, MN, Jerry (Tory) Jorgensen of Omaha, NE; and stepsons: Gary (Debi) Ramert and Ron Ramert of Russell, MN; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Harvey (Blanche) Jorgensen of Arco, MN; his very special friend and companion Bea Waddle of Marshall, formerly of Tyler; and friends: Deanna and John Zimmer and Randy Waddle; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, infant son Raymond, one brother, one sister, and an infant granddaughter.
