Patricia C. Smart Patricia C. Smart age 64 of Redwood Falls passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Divine Providence Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 Friday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue ½ hour before services on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Patricia C. Smart was born June 18, 1944 in Milbank, South Dakota to Ned and Laura (Fritz) Folk. She graduated from Milbank High School in 1962 and later attended Loyola University and Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Patricia was united in marriage to Timothy Smart on April 27, 1968 in Milbank, South Dakota. Together the couple lived in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota before settling in Redwood Falls in 1979 where they have resided since. In 1980, Pat started working as a library clerk at the Redwood Falls Public Library. She took a year and a half off when she received a heart transplant on October 31, 1992. She went back to work until she retired in 2003. Pat belonged to a study club, collected Maxine memorabilia, enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, and spending time with her family. Pat is survived by her husband Timothy of 40 years; children: Jon
(Cassandra) Smart of Edina, Michelle (Chris) Rohlik of Vesta, Becky
and partner Julie of Maple Grove, and Jason (fiancée Stacie
Vik) of Iowa City, IA; grandchildren: Madeline and Claire Smart,
Spencer, Jamison and Chloe Rohlik, Anthony Vik, and grandpuppy Dakota;
sister Delores Erne-Smith of Greensville, ID; and many other relatives
and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister
