Joshua John Dahmes was born July 27, 1988 in Springfield, MN to
Scott & Crystal (Marshall) Dahmes. He was baptized August 12,
2001 at LeRoy & Sara Triplett’s cabin on the lake. Josh
attended Springfield Public School before graduating from Cedar
Mountain High School in Morgan in 2006 where he was the Homecoming
King. Josh loved socializing with his friends and teachers. He always
had a smile for everyone, and never complained about anything. He
was very well liked by everyone who knew him. Josh liked to have
fun, and enjoyed swimming at Red Rock Dells and at Ramsey Falls.
Josh worked with his mom and dad at Sawvell’s Seed in Clements
at the very best of his ability. He was always willing to help his
dad or his grandparents whenever they needed it. He enjoyed working
with Youth for Christ and at the Kids Club at Cornerstone Christian
Church. Josh was very talented at building things out of nothing,
anything from building bicycles to working on cars, or building
forts in the grove. When he was younger, he enjoyed showing animals
and projects at the Redwood County Fair in 4H, and he loved going
to the State Fair.
Josh is survived by his parents Scott and Crystal Dahmes of rural
Springfield; siblings: Lindsey, Jordan, Brooke and Rebecca; grandparents:
Joan & Vilo Dahmes of Clements and Norman & Mary Marshall
of King George, VA; great grandfather Curtis Marshall of King George,
